La Renaissance students display skills and sportsmanship in volleyball

Grade 4, 5 and 6 students from École catholique La Renaissance (Espanola) were among the many students from 15 Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon schools gathered at École secondaire catholique Champlain (Chelmsford) on December 12 and 13 to take part in the Grade 5 and 6 Volleyball Tournament. The tournament intended to offer students a friendly competitive experience, encourage the development of sports skills and promote student participation. Players from both La Renaissance teams displayed fine skills, a great team spirit and outstanding sportsmanship. The boys’ team performed very well and was able to advance to the semi-finals. Competing in this friendly tournament were teams from the following CSC Nouvelon schools: Ste-Marie (Azilda), Alliance St-Joseph (Chelmsford); St-Étienne (Dowling), La Renaissance (Espanola), St-Augustin (Garson), Notre-Dame (Hanmer), St-Paul (Lively), St-Antoine (Noëlville), Félix-Ricard (Sudbury), St-Denis (Sudbury), St-Dominique (Sudbury), St-Joseph (Sudbury), St-Pierre (Sudbury), Jean-Paul II (Val Caron) and Ste-Thérèse (Val Thérèse)..
