By Rosalind Russell – With all the events that take place on Manitoulin Island every year, the Ontario Culture Days organization has announced the Island and 12 other Ontario communities have been selected to be official 2024 Festival Hubs for the fall festival.
Ruth Burns, the executive director of Ontario Culture Days, says they have partnered with 4elements Living Arts from the Island to promote it as a unique geographical feature within the Great Lake region and an arts and culture hub in Northeastern Ontario.
She says the festival runs from September 20th to October 13th with the hub partners serving as local community leads at the hubs, which are strategically positioned in cities and towns across Ontario.
She adds they serve as focal points for visitors to discover local events and gain insights into the diverse cultures of the areas.
