By Rosalind Russell – A Manitoulin Island cyclist has raised thousands of dollars for the Manitoulin Health Centre.
Centre CEO, President Paula Fields, says Peter Carter cycled his way to a $12,500 contribution for the Vital Visions Campaign.
She says he participated in the Perth 700, an annual cycling event that brings together riders and supporters from across the region in support of charitable causes.
She adds his contribution will directly support the campaign, which is working toward a goal of $250,000 to purchase new ultrasound equipment.
She also thanked Carter for his successful effort in helping them to reach their ultimate goal.
