By Rosalind Russell – Ontario Provincial Police has confirmed the body recovered from the Spanish River in Sables-Spanish Rivers Township is that of a person reported missing on earlier this summer.
Constable Berkley Parisien says the search was carried out over several days in the Town of Webbwood. The person was first reported missing in mid-June, and over a month later, on July 20, a deceased person was located in the Spanish River.
She says he has been identified as 50-year-old Gregory Grant of Webbwood.
Parisien adds his death has been determined to be non-suspicious and the investigation is closed.
Family members have confirmed a Celebration of Life will be held at the Eagles Club in Webbwood on Saturday, August 23rd, from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
