By Rosalind Russell – Mediation talks for striking college workers are set for this Friday.
According to the release, the College Employer Council (CEC) and the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) have been engaged with government officials and agreed to meet in mediation this Friday, September 26.
Council CEO Graham Lloyds says with the assistance of a government mediator, they hope to be able to reach an acceptable deal.
The union represents over 10,000 full-time college support staff, which hit the picket lines two weeks ago, including at the Cambrian College satellite campuses in Espanola and Little Current.
