By Rosalind Russell – St. Joseph Hospital in Elliot Lake has welcomed a Northern Ontario School of Medicine University student for the next few months.
Originally from St. Joseph Island, clerkship student Maxwell Robinson will be gaining experience during his placement from September to March of next year.
He says contributing to patient care as part of the Comprehensive Community Clerkship Program and plans to focus on internal medicine, an interest he developed from his time as a nurse on a surgical floor.
Robinson adds he also wants to return to the Algoma area and work around his hometown roots either along the North Shore or around Sault Ste. Marie.
