New Espanola girls’ volleyball league needs financial support

By Rosalind Russell – The Espanola Girls U16 Volleyball team, who is part of the Northern Chill organization, has one year of play under their belts, and is now looking at competing in the 2025-26 season.

According to the release, the season got underway earlier this month.

The not-for-profit volleyball club was established in 2004, who are dedicated to the growth and development of youth volleyball in Greater Sudbury and surrounding areas with over 400 athletes involved.

The girls season culminates in participation at the provincial and if they win, they go to nationals.

Each team does their own sponsorship fundraising, so they are looking specifically for support of the local group which is the Espanola U16 Girls Blackout team.

The team will be at the Espanola Christmas Celebration at the Oval on November 22nd.
