By Rosalind Russell – Cameco’s Blind River Refinery partnered with The Town of Blind River to fund a new ice edger through its community investment fund.
According to the joint release, the piece of equipment is vital to operations with users accessing the Blind River Community Centre on a regular basis.
General manager of the Blind River Refinery Terry Davis says the donation helps ensure that children and all ice users have a quality finished ice surface to practice their skills.
Mayor Sally Hagman adds the town thanks Cameco as the municipality works diligently to sustain the facility for the next 40+ years.
