By Rosalind Russell – Elliot Lake will have a mall of a different sort opening next month.
Elliot Lake Granite Sport & Social Club owner, Paul Noad, says starting next month, the Granite Market Mall will be open four days a week, Wednesdays to Saturdays.
He says the club will be set up as a central hub for local businesses and a gathering place for the community, offering permanent vendor spaces for local and out-of-town vendors.
Noad says his goal is to provide an indoor/outdoor seasonal venue allowing local buyers to support local businesses in a mall-like atmosphere.
He adds that the facility will also be hosting the Elliot Lake Home & Leisure Show at the end of the month.
He adds the mall will be open until October when the club will return to its original use as a curling centre.
