Officer’s funerals planned for next Thursday

By Rosalind Russell – Representatives from police forces from across North America are expected in Edmonton next Monday, for the funeral of two Edmonton police officers killed in the line of duty last Thursday.
Constables Brett Ryan and Travis Jordan, both in their 30s, were shot while responding to a domestic disturbance call at an apartment block in the city’s northeast.
They didn’t have a chance to fire back.
Edmonton police say the gunman was a 16-year-old boy, who also shot and wounded his mother before taking his own life.
