Ontario and Manitoba ink a deal

By Rosalind Russell – Premier Doug Ford and Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew have signed a memorandum of understanding to support the removal of trade barriers between the two provinces.

It follows the recent similar signings Ontario inked in support of free trade with Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.

Ford says it is the latest step taken to unlock what he calls the enormous potential of true free trade within the country.
The province says in 2021, the value of total interprovincial trade between Ontario and Manitoba stood at $19-and-a-half billion.

Kinew says all premiers are working toward a common goal of power our Canadian economy toward the future.
