Party for Shilo Rousseau this week – Olympic hopeful watch party

She is not quite there yet, but Thessalon’s Shilo Rousseau is nearing her Olympic dream.

Her home town wants to celebrate her hard work, ambition, and dedication to the sport of biathlon.

Rousseau has been competing at the World Cup overseas and spent the Christmas holidays at a training camp in France before she began the last leg to the competition to meet the qualifiers for the Olympic Games.

To that end, to boost her confidence and show that the people of the North Shore Corridor are behind her, a watch party is set for this Friday, (January 9th) at 7 pm at the Thessalon Curling Club.

The Thessalon Events and Activities Committee is also hosting her parents, Yves and Cecilia Rousseau, televising race highlights from the last three months, with a live race at 7:30 pm on the big screen.

Everyone is invited to attend.
