Poilievre loses non-confidence motion

By Rosalind Russell – The House of Commons has shot down a non-confidence motion against the minority Liberals… two-hundred-and-four to one-sixteen.

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre had moved to dissolve parliament and call an early election… in response to the planned twenty-three per cent increase to the carbon tax on April first.

Voting on the motion was largely split by party lines, with Liberal, N-D-P, and Bloc Quebecois M-Ps voting overwhelmingly against.
