Police charge driver following collision in Espanola

By Rosalind Russell – A driver is facing charges following a collision at a busy intersection in Espanola.

Manitoulin OPP Constable John Hill says yesterday afternoon a driver struck a wagon holding a three year old at the intersection of Second Avenue and Highway Six- Centre Street.

The wagon was being pulled by the mother at the time.

Hill says the child sustained minor injuries and was transported to Health Sciences North as a precaution.

He adds the driver has been charged with careless driving.
