Police investigating threat at Sudbury school

By Rosalind Russell – Just before 9:00 am yesterday morning, officers were dispatched to l’École secondaire catholique l’Horizon in Val Caron regarding a suspicious incident.

Greater Sudbury Police communications officer Kaitlyn Dunn says students found a message warning on a bathroom wall of a possible school shooting to take place today, but there were no other details.

She says police were called and officers are actively investigating the matter to determine the credibility of the threat emphasizing there will be an increased visible police presence at the school all day today to ensure public safety and to support students and staff.
