By Rosalind Russell – An Espanola grocery store owner is proud to announce their PRIDE crosswalk has been replaced.
Tanner Lafraniere of Tanner’s Your Independent Grocers did not waste any time in having damage to a PRIDE crosswalk replaced following vandalism earlier this week.It was originally installed in June.
He says the crosswalk had to be blacked out Tuesday due to the nature of the vandalism, which he says was disappointing.
Lafraniere says the contractor came on site yesterday and the PRIDE crosswalk has now been repainted.
The OPP investigation continues and if anyone has any information about the vandalism, they are asked to call the Manitoulin OPP or Crime Stoppers.
