By Rosalind Russell – The province of Ontario has deployed staff to assist the 27 soldiers injured in last Saturday’s wildfire at C-F-B Wainwright remain in hospital.
That update from Alberta Premier Danielle Smith who says 13 are in critical condition.
She says a dozen of the original 39 people taken to hospital have since been discharged from care.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford says the province is deploying 28 health-care staff, including surgeons and nurses with special expertise in burn care, to support the recovery efforts.
Smith says three of the soldiers in ‘dire health’ condition are from Ontario.
