SPORTS – UCCM police play vital role as part of Little NHL 50th

By Rosalind Russell – United Chiefs and Councils of Manitoulin Chief of Police James Killeen and Staff Sergeant Brad Mack were honored to present medals and championship trophies, fostering community spirit and sportsmanship during the recent 50th Anniversary Little NHL Tournament.

Staff Sergeant Mack presented the Championship U11 Recreational A Banner and Trophy to the team from M’Chigeeng First Nation, celebrating their achievement on the ice.

Chief of Police Killeen was also on hand to present the Championship U13 Girls A Banner and Trophy to the team from Aundeck Omni Kaning.

Staff Sergeant Mack was honored to receive a 50th Anniversary pin from Founding Member Jim McGregor, a symbol of appreciation for the dedication and commitment shown by all involved in this milestone event.

UCCM Anishnaabe Police were thrilled to participate in this gathering, connecting with youth and families from across Turtle Island.
