By Rosalind Russell – Canada had 1,052 reports of UFO sightings last year.
That’s according to data released by Ufology Research.
It’s the highest number of sightings in five years, although it’s only up about 40 from 2024.
Officials say the numbers reflect sightings reported to official government agencies, private organizations, media and social media.
The reports came in from every province and territory, with Ontario leading the way with 307.
They cover everything from lights in the sky, spheres, flying saucers, triangle shapes, and more.
One of the top unexplained sightings included two witnesses spotting an orange diamond around 9:15 pm on April 12, 2025 in Sudbury.
Reports say the object shone lights on buildings then went higher and became an orb.
