Tenaris Commits additional funding to support STEAM lab

By Rosalind Russell – The Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board has received an investment of $78,500 from Tenaris in support of programming at the Board’s STEAM Lab centrally located in Sault Ste. Marie.

Education Director, Fil Lettieri, says students visit the lab on field trips to participate in learning experiences connected to Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, Mathematics, and more.

Canadian Tenaris President, Martín Castro, adds through those learning experiences, students develop the skills they need to take the lead in critical thinking in the future.

He says they have been partnered with the school board since 2023, contributing more than $400,000 to expand student learning opportunities.

This year’s contributions increase access to the STEAM lab and support students with additional class time.
