Throw for the Cure assist with cancer care and research

By Rosalind Russell – The Tenth anniversary of the Throw for the Cure had some great results once again this year.

Shelly Michon, the founder of the event, says the Webbwood Eagles hall was a busy place this past Saturday with 21 teams coming out to throw darts for the cause, raising money for the Northern Ontario Cancer Foundation.

She says everyone enjoyed the day including MP Carol Hughes who also participated in the event.

Michon says around $3,000 was raised making the tenth anniversary a special one to remember.
