By Rosalind Russell – Three trappers’ organizations have come together for a reunion slated for later this week.
The Sault and Blind River Trapper Councils and the Elliot Lake Fur Harvesters are hosting a reunion Saturday, May 4th.
According to the release, admission is free to the event, which will be held at the Blind River Community Centre.
There will be vendors and demonstrations throughout the day from 9 am to 3:30 pm followed by a banquet, live auction, and fashion show at 5:30 pm.
The public is invited to come out and learn a bit about the colourful history of the trade and how the councils support the industry today.
