By Rosalind Russell – There are two local delegates at the Miss Teen/Miss Ontario competition in Sudbury.
Talullah Toulouse is representing Sagamok-Anishinabek First Nation and Mya White of Espanola is representing the LaCloche Foothills, which includes Espanola and the townships of Baldwin, Nairn & Hyman and Sables-Spanish Rivers.
The two are part of a contingent of 19 competing and hoping to win, since the pageant provides scholarships in several categories totaling over $10,000.
The various competitions range from public speaking to pageant promotion, as well as the Ambassador Award for raising funds for the Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer.
The crowning takes place on Saturday evening at Sudbury Secondary School.
