Water tower cleaning and inspection coming up in Espanola

By Rosalind Russell – The Town of Espanola is notifying the residents and businesses on the municipal system they could see changes in their water pressure.

The town has contracted with Landmark Municipal Services to carry out an inspection and do the interior cleaning of the water tower.

According to the release, the town will shut down and drain the water tower on June 2nd.

The work could take up to two weeks to complete, with plans to refill and put the tower back on line by June 13th.

Residents will continue to get water, but it will come directly from the water treatment plant and there could be loss of water pressure, and possible water shortages.

The town is asking residents to conserve water during this time period, and if anyone has serious problems to contact the Public Works office.
