By Rosalind Russell – Algoma Public Health will celebrate the recipients of the 2025 Public Health Champion – Early Years Edition Award, recognizing local leaders who help the youngest children in the district grow, learn, and thrive.
Officials say the event will also be an opportunity to officially unveil the agency’s Hall of Champions, a space honouring Public Health Champion recipients since the award process began in 2018.
The gathering will be held tomorrow at their main office in Sault Ste. Marie recognizing recipients from throughout the Algoma District.
This year, they will also be honouring three Public Health Champions in three key categories: parent/caregiver, professional and organization.
