
By Rosalind Russell – Several Espanola High School students have brought home medals from this year’s Skills Competition.
Owen Bucknell won gold and Fielding Tooley silver in the Automotive Service, while Julien Kiernan won gold and Aidan Steadman won bronze in Cabinetmaking.
Two other students, Hetvi Patel won gold in Aesthetics and Avery Bourcier also won gold in Hairstyling.
With the gold medal wins comes the opportunity to represent the region at the Skills Ontario Competition on May 4 and 5, in Toronto.
