(ESPANOLA, ON) – A person has been charged after police were called to a shoplifting incident at a store in Espanola.
On Thursday, April 2, 2026, the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a shoplifting incident at a local store in Espanola. It was reported that two individuals, a male and a female, attempted to leave the store with several unpaid items valued at approximately $1,000. When store employees intervened, an altercation occurred. Officers initiated an investigation, and on April 15, 2026, officers located and arrested the male involved on Secord Street in Espanola.
The female involved in the incident remains outstanding, and is described as approximately 30-40 years old, approximately 5’2″ in height, short red hair, glasses, wearing a black toque, dark jacket and a pink hoodie.
The accused, Bradley EADIE, 48-years-old from Espanola, was charged with theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on Monday, June 1, 2026.
