Blind River Mayor extends wishes for 2026 looking forward to a year of celebration

By Rosalind Russell – Blind River’s Mayor, Sally Hagman, extended wishes to constituents and councils, but also pointed out that 2026 should be a year of celebrations,

She says not only is the town celebrating its 120th birthday, but the Blind River Public Library will also be marking its centennial, the Blind River Beavers will celebrate their 10th anniversary, and the local fall festival will mark its 10-year milestone.

She thanks volunteers for all the time they have put into hosting gatherings throughout the year and looks forward to seeing what individual groups come up with to celebrate the various milestones expected next year.

Ideas are always welcome and anyone who has a unique idea is asked to share with the town, and if it is feasible, they could see it come to fruition.
