By Rosalind Russell – The Annual Blue Grass in the Country concert is set for this weekend on Manitoulin Island.
Roslynn Taylor with Special Olympics Manitoulin says the money raised from the weekend-long event goes towards supporting various athletic and educational programs for the athletes.
She says it runs from this Friday to Sunday at the Providence Bay Fairgrounds on the new Lone Stage built to host such events.
Taylor adds that some of the headliners include Bonita Mercer, Sweetgrass, Avery Drive, and others.
