Twenty-five-year-old Madison Kvaltin a management intern at Manitoulin Transport, says she will compete for the national title in mid-August focusing her advocacy on body image and positive mental health.
Aside from her work at the company, she is also an entrepreneur who owns two companies, one that has athletic wear, the other focusing on body imaging and positive health.
She is also fundraising for SOS Children’s Villages, which creates stable, loving families for orphaned and abandoned children and will be at Gore Bay’s Harbour days raising funds for the cause.
A former Miss Ontario North, she competed and won first runner up at Miss International Canada last year and went on to compete at Miss International where she placed eighth overall, the highest finish for a Canadian since 1961.
Kvaltin adds she is proud to represent the North at the Miss Universe Canada, which will be held in Vancouver, British Columbia.
