By Rosalind Russell – Looking for something to do with the family or visiting the area, then consider taking in the Ontario Parks’ Healthy Parks Healthy People event tomorrow.
Whether you’ve never visited Mississagi Park north of Elliot Lake, Chutes Park in Massey or Fairbanks west of Sudbury and if you’re just looking for a fun place to beat the summer heat, now is the perfect time to take in a park in your local area.
Officials say our provincial parks are home to some of the most beautiful landscapes in the country and Ontario Parks want to increase the awareness and uptake of the strong benefits linked to spending time in nature.
All visitors to any park will be issued a complimentary day-pass so they can enjoy the park facilities until 10:00pm tomorrow, July 17.
Additional charges still apply for facilities not included in day use such as camping spot rentals.
