By Rosalind Russell – The City of Elliot Lake has appointed William McCaffrey as the new Chief Building Official
According to the release, he has over 25 years of experience in the construction and regulatory field.
McCaffrey has a long-standing understanding of the Ontario Building Code and has worked on a wide range of projects ranging from residential builds to large-scale commercial and industrial developments.
He also has extensive experience in inspections, plans review, zoning reviews, and working with design professionals, developers, and stakeholders.
On the lighter side, he has also served as a coach and board member for several local youth sports organizations and is looking forward to balancing out the job with volunteering in the community.
He will be welcomed by the city April 22nd.
