By Rosalind Russell – The Elliot Lake Family Health Team’s offices has secured a ten-year lease for its services following negotiations with the city.
At its last meeting, city council passed a resolution and bylaw to ratify an agreement to lease.
The lease was brokered with the partnering of the Elliot Lake and North Shore Corporation for Business Development for the second floor of the building for use by the family health office.
The city and Family Health Team have been providing office space for practicing physicians in the community since 2007 with a focus on providing health care but also on recruiting and retaining physicians and staff.
