By Rosalind Russell – The City of Elliot Lake will be hiring a recruitment firm to fill the Chief Administrative Officer position.
Elliot Lake council removed former CAO Daniel Gagnon from the position late last month, but the reasons for his departure have not been made public.
Gagnon had served in several positions with the city from 2001 to 2010 before he left to take a position elsewhere, and then returning to Elliot Lake as CAO in 2018.
No timeline or other details of the recruitment drive have been released at this time.
Natalie Bray has been appointed as interim CAO until the new staffer is hired.
