By Rosalind Russell – The City of Elliot Lake is looking for nominees for their annual civic award.
Since 1971, the City has recognized volunteers who have improved the quality of life and freely contribute their time to the betterment of the community.
A committee meets once a year to review the nominations and select a winner for Mayor and Council to present with the accolades.
The nominees should have been living in Elliot Lake for at least five years, and the nominator should detail how they have been involved in the community.
The deadline for nominations is September 30th at 4:30 pm online.
