By Rosalind Russell – The Elliot Lake and North Shore Corporation for Business Development, commonly called ELNOS and the Huron North Community Economic Alliance, are hosting forums in four member communities to promote business development.
Officials say attendees will have the opportunity to speak directly with various funders in the region about their grants and loans and listen to each briefly present their organization’s services before sitting down to talk about individual plans or proposals.
The first events take place at the Moose Lodge in Elliot Lake on April 15th, the second at the Blind River Community Hall the following night, both starting at 7 pm.
The two others take place in Echo Bay and Bruce Mines community halls, respectively on April 24th and 25th with a six pm start.
The Huron North Community Economic Alliance is a regional not-for-profit grassroots organization composed of communities and businesses along the north shore of Lake Huron.
Elliot Lake is a member of this organization, which collaboratively works on economic development.
The ELNOS Region is comprised of The Corporation of the City of Elliot Lake, The Town of Blind River, The Town of Spanish, The Township of the North Shore, and the Serpent River First Nation.
