Espanola Talent Adele Bishop To Be Highlighted At Concert

Local Espanola performer Adele Bishop was selected as a vocalist for the 2025 Lions Superstar Showcase as one of 14 children aged 6-19, representing Lions Clubs in Northeastern Ontario. Adele Bishop takes the stage as a young vocalist aged 12, under the tutelage of vocal coach Susan Urquhart. A Grade 7 student at Marymount Academy, Adele has won multiple diamond awards at the Sudbury Music Festival, including provincial honours. She has performed at the SMF’s Stars of Excellence concerts during the last 3 years, as the past recipient of the Introductory Voice Award, Estelle Scappatura and Perras Family Awards. She has performed at the SMF’s Fall Gala Concert at the Sheridan Auditorium, and most recently she was the featured young artist at the Sudbury Chamber Singers 50th Anniversary Christmas Concert. Adele has also been a member of the Espanola Festival Choir, an interfaith group performing for the Christmas season. Her piano teacher Joanne Hogarth of Espanola has supported her musical journey since age 5. Adele is a soprano singer and pianist who also enjoys accompanying herself and composing her own music. Adele is grateful to Espanola Lions Club member Theresa Laurenti for encouraging her to participate. Cafe Heritage will be hosting the concert live on Sunday, April 27th at 1pm located at the Lionel E. Lalonde Centre in Azilda.
