Espanola’s Caroline Ehrhardt sets new record

By Rosalind Russell – Espanola’s own Caroline Ehrhardt has set a record in the triple jump.

According to Athletics Canada she soared into the Canadian record books setting a new national record of 14.03 metres at the Bob Vigars Classic this past weekend.

Ehrhardt is an eight-time national champion in women’s triple jump and is working towards her goal of being the first Canadian female triple jumper to ever qualify for the Olympic Games.

She is now one step, or should we say, several jumps, closer to that goal.
