By Rosalind Russell – FedNor funding is once again supporting a Northern Ontario presence at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto.
Ottawa is providing more than $830,000 to support the 23rd annual Northern Ontario Agri-Food Pavilion, featuring 50 businesses including several from Manitoulin Island and the North Shore Corridor.
‘The Royal’ takes place November 6-15 with officials saying it’s the world’s largest indoor agricultural fair and attracts over 300,000 visitors each year.
They say the Northern Pavilion shines a spotlight on the region’s agri-food products and services and has helped hundreds of Northern businesses find new markets, form partnerships, and expand sales globally.
