By Rosalind Russell – Most of the main highways across Northern Ontario have reopened, including Highway 17 and Highway 6.
All school buses are running this morning.
Yesterday’s fierce winter storm literally closed every highway across Northern Ontario.
Some motorists were stranded in their vehicles for three to seven hours.
The sudden blizzard receded around 5:30 pm, and the cleanup began.
Most highways this morning are bare to semi-bare, with some snow-packed sections.
