By Rosalind Russell – Jehovah Witnesses across the province including many from Espanola are gathering in Sault Ste. Marie this weekend.
Ian Russell, a local spokesperson says up to 2,000 people will attend the three-day gathering at the GFL Arena in the Soo for their annual global convention series, which has the theme “Pure Worship!”
Mayor Mathew Shoemaker acknowledges the positive impact the Regional Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses has on the community providing support to the hotel and accommodation sector and contributes significantly to the local economy.
Russell adds the event is free with the schedule available on our websites.
Friday from 9:20 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.; Saturday from 9:20 a.m. to 4:35 p.m.; Sunday from 9:20 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Each day has a one-hour plus lunch break. Bible-based talks, interviews and video presentations will be featured.
