Massey Agricultural Society introduces seed program in schools

By Rosalind Russell – The Massey Agricultural Society has been busy over the last few weeks working with schools throughout the area as part of their seed program.

This year, the society has been working hard to bring new youth programming to the community with the Grade one class at S. Geiger School being one of the first to take part.

According to the release, the spring program is where students plant and nurture seeds, learning the science behind growing their own plants with the society having distributed 30 seed start kits to classrooms, early on centres, 4H and adult day programming.

The society invites anyone interested in sponsoring a seed start kit, to contact them through their messenger on Facebook.
