By Rosalind Russell – The new curator of the Massey Area Museum is beginning her tenure with introducing a new exhibit highlighting a local historian.
Carly Mullen admits she comes to her new position with little experience but plenty of enthusiasm in exploring local history, working with students and curating exhibits at the museum.
She says her first exhibit will feature Alan Toulouse of Sagamok-Anishinawbek First Nation called the Heirlooms of History – Fort LaCloche Beginnings.
Mullen says the exhibit opens on May 8 and will be on display until September.
She adds one student has already started working with her with three more students coming on board for the summer.
The museum will be open from 10 am to 4 pm daily through the tourist season.
