
By Rosalind Russell – The City of Elliot Lake will be hosting the National Day of Mourning with an induction ceremony at the Miner’s Memorial Walls.
Officials say the annual ceremony will induct 11 former co-workers and friends including Denis Abramson, Gaetan Bélisle, Hector Bouchard, James Coughlin, Gerard Gaudet, Garry Gravelle, Stanley Kanafa, Thomas Latendresse, Fernand Loranger, Robert Olmstead, and Gaston Seguin.
The ceremony will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, April 28th at 10:30 am at the memorial.
The formalities also recognize all those who have died, were injured or became ill from their job
The public is invited to attend.
