By Rosalind Russell – Eleven northern mining supply and service sector companies, including one in Espanola, are receiving provincial funding.
More than $3.7 million is coming from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund to promote innovation, workplace safety, business development and job creation in the mining industry.
Nearly 760-thousand dollars goes to A-10 Fabrication, a custom design and manufacturing business.
The money will be used to expand the Espanola-based company’s operations by acquiring and renovating a new property and purchasing equipment.
Several companies in Greater Sudbury, Timmins, North Bay, New Liskeard, and Kirkland Lake received funding.
