More doctors will be graduating in the North

By Rosalind Russel – The province says it’s expanding the number of undergraduate seats and post-medical training positions at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine University.

14 new undergraduate seats and 22 new training positions to be exact.

Officials say the new seats ensure more doctors providing the high-quality health care Northern Ontario need and deserve.

It will bring the total number of spots at the university to 108 undergraduate seats and 123 postgraduate seats by 2028.
