By Rosalind Russell – The North Channel Bike Park on Manitoulin Island is set to become the island’s first purpose-built flow trails.
According to the release, the park will feature 5km of flow trails suitable for all mountain bikers, along with a climbing trail and a pump track in the base area.
The bike trails will be designed to avoid existing hiking trails, ensuring a separate and family-friendly experience and is expected to open in 2026.
To that end, volunteers are needed to help clear trails for everyone to enjoy with Manitoulin Island being a growing market for bikers from elsewhere.
