By Rosalind Russell – Members and supporters of the Massey Royal Canadian Legion Branch #432 are thrilled to see the work start on the painting of their new Veteran’s Walk.
Painting got underway earlier this week and is expected to be completed in time for a dedication next Saturday, July 18th and the centennial celebration.
The project came together, thanks to the support of local funds, and is marking the Legion’s National 100th Anniversary.
The crosswalk is located at Imperial Street South in Massey.
The celebration starts at 12 noon with the dedication followed by a family barbecue, games and activities at the hall.
