By Rosalind Russell – The North Shore Corridor and Manitoulin Island are the places to be with not one, but three premier holiday events.
The annual Haweater Weekend kicked off in Little Current last night and has plenty of family events, vendors and activities capping off with fireworks on Sunday.
Wiikwemkoong will host its annual pow wow, one of the largest in Canada, starting today and featuring such notables as Juno winner Crystal Shawanda and William Prince, as well as vendors and family activities.
And, the popular Lumberjack Days returns once again to Mississagi Park, just north of Elliot Lake where participants can test their logging skills like axe-throwing, log sawing and more.
