Provincial Command funds two projects at Espanola Regional Hospital & Health Centre

By Rosalind Russell – The Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Provincial Command Branches and the Provincial Command Ladies’ Auxiliary Charitable Foundation presented funds to the Espanola Regional Hospital & Health Centre yesterday.

Gary MacPherson, Zone H3 Commander, says the donation of $7,522 will go towards a new telemetry pack – 1 Plus Nurse system, which is used for cardiac monitoring.

Debbie Halverson, Zone H3 Ladies Auxiliary Commander, adds the provincial office receives applications throughout the year, and is pleased to see the Espanola hospital receive the vital funding to meet their needs.

Hospital CEO Martin Lees and Marlo DesJardins, the hospital’s  VP Corporate Services and Chief Human Resources Officer, were on hand for the presentation and thanked the organizations for their donation, which was made yesterday morning in the hospital lobby.
